Who is the founder of Chingari?

The Chingari app was founded by the very enthusiastic and talented, Biswatma Nayak, Sumit Ghosh, Aditya Kothari and Deepak Salvi. Truly an Indian homegrown app!

In the unfortunate event of letting you leave, you can follow the following steps. Though we would like to have your feedback because it matters and serves you even better in future incase you decide to come back.

What is a game zone and how can I access it?

Game zone is one of our most fun filled section! When you have had enough of the videos, simply swipe over to some fun and amazing games.

You can access it from the More option in your menu displayed at the bottom of the screen. Simply choose – Game Zone and enjoy!

What is the news section in Chingari?

News zone is there to keep you informed all day long about what is happening around the country. You can find Times of India, The Malayalam Express and various other mainstream media outlets on the Chingari app.

How do I add or change my profile picture?

Step 1: When you open the application, on the bottom right there will be an option for profile. 

 Click on that.

Step 2: After clicking on that there will be an option to “Edit Profile” click on that.

Step 3: After that in the middle there will be another option for change picture, you can just simply go on that and change your profile picture.

You can access it from the More option in your menu displayed at the bottom of the screen. Simply choose – News Zone and enjoy!

How can I change my name?

Step 1: When you open the application, on the bottom right there will be an option for profile. 

Click on that.

Step 2: After clicking on that there will be an option to “Edit Profile” click on that.

Step 3: The first option will be Name, you can juust click on that and change your name.

How can i change my username?

Step 1: When you open the application, on the bottom right there will be an option for profile. 

Click on that.

Step 2: After clicking on that there will be an option to “Edit Profile” click on that.

Step 3: There will be an option for username, Click on that and you can easily change your username.

How do I change my preferred language?

You can access it from the More option in your menu displayed at the bottom of the screen. Simply choose – Language.

How to use filters in your unique content?

When creating a unique piece of content on the app, you can access the filters. The option is available on the bottom left corner of the camera.

How to use the beauty mode?

When creating a unique piece of content on the app, you can access the beauty mode.The option is available on the left side of the camera.

How to put text in the video?

Once you are done with creating your unique video, click on next. You will find the option to add text on the left bottom of the screen.

Can I use the timer in the Chingari camera?

Yes, there is timer feature in the Chingari app. You can access the timer option on upper right side of the screen when using the camera.

What are different features the Chingari Camera provides you?

The Chingari camera is truly versatile and very dynamic. You can choose from a range of filters, beauty mode and colours  to create video. You also have the option to change the recording speed, use a timer among more interesting features.

How to create a slideshow using the Chingari app and what does it do?

It is one of the most amazing features on the Chingari app. Simply open the camera and choose the slideshow feature on the bottom left side. Now select all the picture you want to add your slideshow and the app will create one for you.

How to find a song on the Chingari app?

Step 1: Open your application, on the main page there will be an upload option in the middle of the page, with Chingari logo as its background

Step 2: When you click on it you will get an option of “SOUNDS” in the middle top. You can take any music from that and create a video.

Can I upload a video that is not made from Chingari?

Yes, you can. We have a gallery uploading feature in our app. In contrast, the recommendation is to use an in-app camera so that you can get a fantastic experience of our exclusive camera, unique filters, enjoy our music library, and many more.

Does Chingari use any Chinese technology?

 No, Chingari doesn’t use any Chinese technology.Like we said before, its totally homegrown. By the Indians, for the entire world!

What is the verification process on Chingari?

Users can get verified in 2 simple ways:

  1. Anyone who can get 1 lakh + followers and has great quality content and is followed by any verified creator on the app, will be considered for verification on the Chingari app.
  2.  If the user is already verified on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook, he or she or third gender will automatically get verified on Chingari app!

What are you not allowed to post on Chingari?

We do not allow content that depicts or disseminates child abuse, child nudity or sexual exploitation of children in both digital and real world format, and we report such content to relevant legal authorities. We also do not allow content depicting minors engaged in deliquent behaviour.
