Let’s get right into it- how do you create an account on the Chingari app? First things first, you have to download the Chingari application from the Google Playstore to use its built-in features.

Open your app and make sure you connect your device to the internet before doing so. You will get an option to choose the language. We, at Chingari, offer you an option to pick from 9 vernacular languages. Choose one- you will directly lead to the home page.

Here, you can scroll down and watch videos without signing in. Click on the Upload icon, and the login/ register option will immediately pop up on the screen. You can do so either with your phone number or your Gmail account.

Enter your phone number, and verify using the OTP that we send you. You can also use your Gmail account. Once you register/ sign in, then go to the profile section. Click on the Edit Profile button. 

Here, you can edit your name, username, status, turn your notifications on/off, etc. Make necessary changes, and save them. Here is an example of how we have edited the username of a Chingari profile.
